This free program serves all of Boulder County residents, City of Broomfield and Town of Erie residents. Proof of residency is required when you drop-off your waste, for example, your drivers license, voter identification, tax certificate or lease agreement.

Helpful Hints:

  • Never mix different chemicals.
  • Leave waste products in their original containers.
  • If original container is damaged , place the entire container in a larger container like a bucket, clean can, or wrap securely with plastic. Make sure to label contents.
  • Make sure caps and / or lids are securely closed.
  • Separate different types of waste, such as paint, motor oil, batteries, etc.
  • Do not transport waste in the same part of the vehicle as children or pets.
  • Place containers in rear of vehicle, and come straight to the Household Hazardous Waste facility to avoid any problems.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling Household hazardous waste.
  • Wash your hands after handling these materials.
